Our journey begins with a drive along Jamaica’s breathtaking north coast, where the mountainside and shoreline meet. Upon arriving to the resort town of Ocho Rios, the bus will turn north onto the North/South (newly renamed Edward Seaga Highway), that will take you away from the shoreline and into the lush green interior of the island. Once you exit the highway, there is a short 20-minute drive to the Worthy Park Estate. Upon arrival to the estate, there is an introductory session before proceeding through the distillery where you will be shown the process of rum making, ending with a visit to the ageing house. Finally, we return to the visitor’s center where there is an opportunity for you to sample the rums made at the estate.
On the way back to your resort there is a rest stop at Scotchies, where you have an opportunity to have Jamaica’s famous jerk chicken and jerk pork! (Lunch is not included).
