Lido Key Mangrove Tunnels, Otter Key and Sharkers Island.  Kayaking is the only way to access this location and experience close encounters with the marine life.

This experience is only possible by Kayak and requires the local knowledge of the area. You will immerse yourself into a relaxing paddling adventure exploring hidden locations and secluded beaches loaded with Sea Life.
Our adventure takes us to a protected mangrove island and bird sanctuary. Here we often experience close encounters with Manatee, Dolphin and other Sea Creatures. Nearby we also venture to a hidden sand bar called Sharkers Island - it is at this location where we often encounter close up interactions with tons of different birds, fish, invertebrates and of coarse Dolphin and Manatee.
The most popular part of this special experience is having the local knowledge of a guide leading you through the hidden Mangrove Tunnels. The later part of our eco-tour is a slow paced paddle through the Mangrove Tunnels where we experience a really cool vibe of paddling through a jungle rich with plentiful animal life.
This is an Educational fun Experience for the entire family only possible by kayak and local knowledge of these hidden gems.

There is a reason that the Mangrove Tunnels of Lido Key are a must-do experience when visiting the Gulf Coast. We launch from Ted Sperling Nature Park, which has clean restrooms, a rinsing shower, and shaded picnic tables. Our amazing local guides from Sea Life Kayak Adventures take you on a tour of Little Sarasota Bay, where you may see manatees, dolphins, a variety of birds and sea life...then finish up in the famous mangrove tunnels, a beautiful canopy that meanders thru an island. The tour usually goes around 2 hours, but we aren't on a strict schedule, so please allow for an extra half hour. We are located just minutes from downtown Sarasota, 20 minutes from Siesta Key, and a half hour from Anna Maria Island and Bradenton.

We will meet 15 minutes before the tour at the Sea Life Kayak Adventures trailer, where you will meet your guide for further instruction. We will then launch at tour time (busy season may cause slight delays). On a tour, we can see manatees, dolphins, birds, rays, sea turtles (very rare), etc..
• Tour will be approximately 2 hours, but we don't want to be rushed if we are enjoying ourselves...so may go 2 1/2 hours
Suggestions to bring/wear:
• flip flops or water shoes (leather or foam not recommended...cheap ones are best)
• polarized sunglasses (if you have them) help to reduce glare when looking into the water
• water, snacks, beverages
• waterproof bags for phones (or ask as we have some)
• Desire to relax and enjoy
• PLEASE NOTE: UNLESS YOU HAVE ENTERED "TANDEM" IN NOTES OR CALLED 941-400-2740 FOR A TANDEM KAYAK (or texted WITH OUR CONFIRMATION), YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A SINGLE KAYAK.
